Employee
Safety
At AMI we believe that our biggest
asset is our employees, and we are dedicated to
providing a safe and healthy work environment for them
each and every day. By making employee safety a high
priority for every AMI employee, we can reduce injuries
and illnesses, increase productivity and promote a safer
and healthier workplace for all individuals in the
organization.
In order to maintain a safe and healthful work
environment, AMI has developed an overall Injury and
Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). To ensure a
successful IIPP, employees and associates working at AMI
are trained in general safe work practices and given
specific instruction with respect to hazards unique to
each employee’s job assignment.
Employees are not only responsible for their own safety
but the safety of other employees around them. Employees
are encouraged to report any unsafe acts or conditions
to supervisors and management. And, managers and
supervisors have an established system for recognizing
and rewarding safe work practices and injury
elimination.
